This Collection was created to showcase a few Influential leaders that played a role in different areas of Black History. There are so many important people that paved the way but this year we will be featuring:
Harriet Tubman, Martin Luther King Jr., Rosa Parks, Malcom X, Marcus Garvey, Maya Angelou, Madam CJ Walker, Fredrick Douglass, Thurgood Marshall, W.E.B Dubois, Barack Obama, and Michelle Obama.
Each design has an Afrocentric inspired vibe and feel to it. The panels feature the faces of the names listed above as well as some popular Black History quotes many of us can relate to.
"When it comes to civil rights, it’s important not only to learn about historical milestones but also to interpret them in a way that can be applied to today’s challenges. Through multi-sensory and multi-media innovations, historical artifacts and structures, events, speakers and online resources, the National Civil Rights Museum champions educational programming and offers visitors a full immersion experience."
